From On the River
Tuesday September 29, 2009- Civic Studio member Michael Wolf was invited to the WLAV studios in downtown Grand Rapids for two morning interviews with Grand Rapids radio personalities Kevin Matthews and Tony Gates.
Michael discussed the studio's current project (On the River), their involvement with ArtPrize and to promote a special public event showcasing the old WLAV River Raft Races.
WLAV is the only radio station in West Michigan to have had such an event that dealt directly with the Grand River. The races drew huge crowds for the Raft Races that included free concerts that included big name musicians like Bob Seger.
