From On the River
One of Mark Dion's early notable projects was the Thames River Dig. It was part of the {http://www.tate.org.uk Tate Modern's] pre-opening projects in 1999.
The project informs the On the River project because an artist is beginning with a site and then using various methodologies to research and investigate the context from which the project emerges.
