Civic Studio uses visual art to investigate public life in specific contexts. Our current project On the River is taking place at the Interurban (Gillett) Bridge along the Grand River from September 1st to December 19th, 2009.

We are posting our work on this web site. Content is what we find and make about this place. Research is background information that informs the project. We invite you to join in the project by adding to the site.

Songs About the Grand River

Civic Studio invites people to write songs about the Grand River and share them as part of our On the River project. We will accept any form or style, any viewpoint or perspective, as long as it pertains to Grand River. If we can get enough public participation we will hold an event for the songs submitted.
