From On the River
The WLAV Raft Races created many memories for Grand Rapids. It was an event where people could come together and enjoy the river as a recreational, imaginative, and cultural landmark for the community. During these events the public actively engaged the river as a way to create visual culture.

River Raft Race
The Civic Studio is inviting past River Race participants to come together and share stories, photos and other memories relating to the Events.
How to make a page for Remembering the Raft Race:
You should make a separate page for each project.
Click the link above. It will ask you to name the page you want to create. Type in a very brief description of your project beginning with either "River Raft Race". Ex. “River Raft Race Image” After typing in a name, it will bring you to an edit content page where you can upload a main photo for you your product, type a description of the item and any related ideas or content. You can upload more images and/or videos. To mark a map location type in "Grand Rapids" and search for your area. Changing the view to 'satellite' also helps to see landmarks that the other map does not show.
