Houseboats on the River is an assignment that portrays what the river would be like if humans were to inhabit it as a living space. For years, people have chosen to live on water over land, but limitations such as the flood walls and dams have halted this trend from making The Grand River an option of residence. In order to create these images, use a program such as Adobe Photoshop. Ignore the above restraints and open the viewers mind to the possibility of living in a houseboat on The Grand.

How to make a page for Houseboats on the River

Click the link above. It will ask you to name the page you want to create. Type in a very brief description of where your houseboat image is located. Ex. “Houseboat near Pearl Street Bridge” After typing in a name, it will bring you to an edit content page where you can upload your main image, type a description of the location, and upload more images. To mark a map location, type in "Grand Rapids" and search for your area. Changing the view to 'satellite' also helps to see landmarks that the other map does not show.
