Civic Ride

The Civic Ride was an organized bike ride that began at 632 Wealthy (the studio site), headed east to Reed’s Lake, back west to the Butterworth Dump and then ended in the middle at the studio. Participants included both studio members and community members.

Before the ride, each cyclist was given a glass bottle with a custom Wealthy Civic Studio label containing images from Wealthy Street. The bottles accompanied them on their journey where they were filled with water from Reed’s Lake and emptied at the other end of the street on the Butterworth Dump site. The event was documented through photographs and a project by Geoffrey Holstad at the Wealthy End to End show.
